  • Yume wo Kanaeru Zou SP

The SP starts off with a business man looking Oguri Shun who apparently just made a deal with a foreign company. (Sorry Shun but I did not understand what you said in English at all T_T Even with subtitles..) And everyone is congratulating  him. (The blond ladies who kissed him on the cheeks were.. random.)

    And it’s random for a reason because… Read more…

  • Room of King ep.1

We’re introduced to 5 people who will be living in a house together. So far we’ve been told that the people who get to live in this luxurious house are all chosen because they will become famous (?). The people are decided by three men who seem to be realtors..? We get introduced to

    • Mori Jiro - Who does part time jobs.
    • Asada Asako - OL at a bank..?
    • Hibiki Kyoko - Doctor
    • Majima Yohei - Stylist (Who seems to be famous already..?)
    • Mago Kenichi - Apparently he is a cook but we haven’t been told yet.

Mori Jiro - Works part time at a flower shop and seems to be an easy going guy. I foresee more interactions with the owner of the flower shop. He met a woman at a bar (where he works part time) who seems to be quite famous and maybe.. she will make Mori famous?

Asada Asako - Got her job through family relations. Uses a lot of out of date language and seems to be a really happy person? In this episode, she appeared on TV because she was held hostage when a person went to rob a shop.

Hibiki Kyoko - It’s hard to tell that she’s a doctor by her appearance but she has many good looking guys working as nurses at her hospital.

Majima Yohei - Don’t know his story yet but everyone in the house seems to know him because he appears in magazines.

Mago Kenichi - Saved Asada from the robber by singing the theme song to Kinpachi sensei?!? His appearance was really random has left me really confused.

Overall, this seems like it’s going to get really interesting. There’s a lot of things that needs to be answered so I will definitely keep an eye on this drama this season :D

  • To Watch

There’s always things to watch but not enough time.. so..

    - Yume wo kanaeru zou SP: Not sure if I will actually watch the drama (Asami though!) but I want to see the SP at least.

    - Galileo SP: Ah.. I haven’t decided if I want to see this or not because.. well, Kou won’t be there D: But but.. I’m waiting for the movie so.. might as well?

    - 6 Jikan ato ni kimi wa shinu: OMG WHY :( I been wanting to see this but then.. why does it get realized right when I’m the busiest?!?

    - Room of King: This sounded quite interesting but from what I’ve heard of the first episode it was just soso? I’m not sure but.. Maybe to watch?

  • Seigi no Mikata END

I should say that I enjoyed about.. half of this drama? It was really funny in the beginning but the humor grew tiring quickly. (Especially since I could not finish watching this series in one sitting as I had to follow it everyday as it aired in Japan.) The ending was predictable and super unsatisfying. Especially the romance (if you can even call it that!) between Kumako and Riku :( It was practically non-existant! They need to give these 2 talented actors a better drama in the future.

Bright side is.. this drama has made me <3 Yuu :) Which is all happy happy because I managed to watch Yuu-san on Domoto Kyoudai and Arashi no Shukudaikun :D

Offtopic but, Domoto Tsuyoshi’s crying scenes.. really breaks my heart T_T Yes, he is definitely MY favourite half of Kinki Kids :P

  • Arashi

Ah.. it’s so hard to find a WP theme that I like.. Am I really too picky?

Anyways, enough complaining about that. What I wanted to say is that between now and my last drama post, I managed to watch Hanadan 2. I surprised myself by enjoying it but not as much as I had hoped? (Since everyone who has seen it heightened by expectation of it I guess.) However, even this (and countless Arashi videos I’ve seen) has not been successful in converting me into a MatsuJun fan. I guess he is just not my type?

  • Top Jdramas 2007

I been really into watching jdramas lately. Mostly because out of all the ones that I saw recently, nothing has gone past a total of 11 episodes. This is great for me because that’s about where my attention span ends. But in some cases, I can’t get enough of the drama though ^^ I’m glad they ended at where they did but I am crossing my fingers for second seasons :)

So.. out of the Top 20 Jdramas of 2007 I have seen.. (in bold)

  • Iryu season 1 & 2

This drama better have a third season because I haven’t had enough of it!

The main character is cool yet still caring. This sort of set him apart from all the other “I’m cool and I don’t give a damn” characters. I love how I can relax and watch it because I know that he will be able to save everyone (wow!!! impossible in real life I know) and yet be kept on the edge of seat because I want to see how he does it and how he helps everyone else.

I thought Teppei did a good job too. But to be honest, I’m not sure whether I would’ve like his character if it hadn’t been him who acted.

This has definitely become one of my favorite medical dramas. I just couldn’t stop watching it ^^

  • Seigi no Mikata ep. 1-5

This is proving itself to be one really enjoyable drama. It’s really light hearted and funny. In my opinion, it’s one of the best this season. It easily grabbed my attention and now I’m waiting (impatiently) to see the new episode each week.

Yamada Yuu is really growing on me. At first I thought I was going to hate her character but that wasn’t the case. I’m pleasantly surprised ^^ And Shida Mirai. I’m definitely going to watch out for her dramas in the future. I don’t think she’s overacting at all since this is suppose to be a over the top comedy and that’s how it should be done. I’m cheering for you, Yoko-chan~ ^^ As for Hongo.. he really needs to gain some weight because he is so stick skinny right now. Last but not least, Osamu. I haven’t seen him in any other drama before this (except for Nodame Cantabile I guess but that doesn’t count because he hardly got any screen time) so I thought he fit well as the “perfect guy”. He’s pretty handsome and well, out of it. Some people might find his acting dull, but isn’t this how his character is supposed to be like? I mean afterall, he is not the main part of the story.

Oh yes, Yoko no otousan mo, ganbatte ne~
